Dr. Michael Mütze is a partner with MKRG, where he specialises in the areas of private and public construction law, public procurement law and real-estate law.

With more than 35 years of consulting experience he has gained extensive expertise in supporting companies in the building industry, architects and engineers, project developers, property owners and investors. In addition, he participates in arbitration proceedings both as legal counsel and as an assessor. His specialisations include property transactions, all aspects of commercial tenancy law and public procurement law, advice on project development and in the drafting of planning and construction contracts, as well as legal support for construction and project operations.

Dr. Michael Mütze’s outstanding reputation is confirmed by the awards he has received. For example, in the JUVE Handbook of “2001/2002 Corporate Law Firms” he is already listed under “Leading names in the construction industry”. In 2021, the US publication “Best Lawyers” once more selected him as an expert on “Construction Law” and “Real Estate Law” in Germany; in addition, in 2014 the same publication as well as the “Handelsblatt” business journal awarded him the title of “Lawyer of the Year” for the field of Construction Law in the Düsseldorf region and as “Lawyer of the Year” for the field of construction law in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2018.

Dr. Michael Mütze is a founding partner of MKRG. Prior to this he worked with a number of other corporate law firms in various capacities from 1981 onwards, and acted as a partner since 1984.
